Named after the nefarious Inner Southeast neighborhood in Portland, Oregon, Buckman Publishing prints the arts & literary anthology Buckman Journal, alongside books of all genres. Sending scouts deep into the bustling local literature and arts scene, Buckman finds the best, and delivers it with grit & shrewd design.

Editor
Emmi (any/all pronouns) has been helping fuel the Buckman engine since 2019, where they curate and edit Buckman Journal and full length books of all genres. Emmi’s own work uses poetics of glitch and montage to investigate the nature of consciousness as a language-based being. She will probably see you at a reading soon.

Ellen (she/her) makes sure things look good at Buckman through visual curation, design of books, journals, and other ephemera.
In warmer months, she can be found by a river with salty chips and a book. In colder ones, she holes up with various craft projects. Year round, she attends art shows & events across town and would love if you said hi :~)
You can view her personal work at ellenrobinette.com and @an__ellen.
